LIfe and Career Coaching

Together we work on your answers to the seven key questions that you need to ask yourself: What do I want to do? Why do I want to do it? Where do I want to do it? Who do I want to do it with? What do I want to give? What do I want to get? How do I make all this happen?

Skills Coaching

Do you want to improve your skills in communicating with your colleagues, your customers, or your boss? Do you communicate effectively in some situations but not in others? Let's look at how you can add some specific skills to your repertoire so that you can be even more effective.

Executive Coaching

Your task is to execute the strategy of your boss or your board. And you are doing fine with some of the strategy with some of the people. How do you get everyone aligned with everything you want to do? That's what we can look at together.

Intensive Coaching

Whether you want to improve your communication skills or focus on designing your life and career, you may want to work at this intensively. Intensive Coaching usually takes place in my home in Scotland, where we work at the table, in front of the fireplace, and on long walks through the fields and hills. You stay nearby in a village bed & breakfast or local hotel.

Extensive Coaching

Whether you want to improve your communication skills or focus on desgning your life and career, you may want to work at this over some time and in different ways: face-to-face, over the phone, and by email..

COACHING TEAMS

If your team could do better in learning how to work together, could do better in involving all members of the team, or could do better in getting things done, then I can coach you toward that result.

Coaching a Management Team or a Board

You are the experts on WHAT you are doing as a Board or as a Management Team. What I provide is a perspective on HOW you are doing it. As an outsider, I see and hear things that you have not had time to notice. As I said to one board of directors, "You have the facts on the table in front of you, but what is going on under the table is preventing you from dealing with those facts."

Coaching a Project Team

You and your team have a project to do. You and your team know a lot about the content and the details of your task. You and your team know less about how to work together effectively, how to make the best use of each person's skills, experience, and information. That's where I come in.

Coaching a Learning Team (during an extended learning sequence)

One of the most powerful ways to learn is to participate in an extended sequence of courses and on-the-job learning projects. Within this sequence, the Learning Team becomes the focal point for feedback, for support, and for challenge. These teams often continue after the sequence ends and provide long-term international networks as people move up through the organisation.

Coaching a Learning Team (after a course)

At the end of each course, we encourage you to continue learning with the colleagues you have learned with on the course. Sometimes this continues for weeks or months after the course, but the current record is almost six years! I'm available by phone or email to contribute and sometimes we celebrate with face-to-face gatherings.
